Why do I need to create a document instead of just uploading a file? What are all these additional fields for?
The reason we need to create documents with these additional fields is to help organize them across the website. For example if someone wants to search by the title or a category.
What are documents used for?
Documents are used for uploading .pdf, .docx, .xls, .doc and .xlsx documents to your website that can then be attached to other items such as posts or events. They are also listed directly on the Documents page.
Where do documents show up on my website?
All documents will appear on the "Documents" page as seen here on our template site. The documents can be filtered by the categories they are assigned to make it easier for users to find what they are looking for.
Documents will also display in places that you attach them such as on or events.

How do each of the document fields work?
- Document Title
- Text field for the document title.
- Notes
- Text field to add any additional notes about the document.
- Category
- Selector to choose the documents category.

- Upload or select the your file.
- Allowed file types are (.pdf, .docx, .xls, .doc and .xlsx)
